Double Ds Cafe in Gold Beach

Nice little family diner that provides all the staple American breakfasts you desire. The staff was friendly and welcoming, but not overbearing, and the food was tasty. I ordered the pancake sandwich and though it was more a stack, with the eggs and sausage being atop the hotcakes rather than between them, the smiley face comprised of my sunny side up style eggs and sausage links made me happy, and the taste only added to it. Double D's is just as good as any traditional breakfast eatery you'll find.

Very relaxing place. Great service, tasty food and the price was perfect along with large portions. I especially enjoyed the fact you can take an omelet and Double D it to be double the portion. Sooooo goood. ;)

We ordered the adouble cheeseburger covered in Bacon and ham lol! It was delicious! And the fries were awesome!

Avoid. I ordered fruit and cottage cheese as this is impossible to mess up. Amazingly it was. It was unmistakably canned peaches dumped with love in a lasagna bowl with sloppy cottage cheese and lovingly served with cold toast. And the pricing is absurd for this healthy or lack of alternative. One waitress did all the work while the other one flapped her gums all morning long. Time to find something better.

This place never fails to impress. They serve fresh food for affordable pricing, there are no long waits even when the place is packed.

If you like mediocre food and ride servers then this is the place for you!

Service was great. We had a very nice waitress. But it took 30 mins for our food to come out and,it was bland and,just not great. My boyfriends bacon wasnt crispy like,he ordered. His,eggs weren't good. My toast was burnt but,butterd very well. My eggs werent over easy more like,just yuck. The sausage links,very good. My hash browns they were over done.

Great Lady runs this place with her daughter i believe. dd has managed to keep this place up beat and friendly despite the stupid covid. Food is good, average prices, daily specials and soups. Closes early, 130.

I have lived in crescent City California Brookings Oregon and now Gold Beach Oregon double D's Cafe has the best breakfast of all three towns this morning I ordered ham eggs with hash browns and coffee the ham was a good-sized chunk about 11 in across very friendly staff and great atmosphere if you want a good wholesome American breakfast go to double D's in Gold Beach

Waffle plate was good. Biscuits were tasty but the gravy were lukewarm at best. Veggie omelet was massive with lots of veggies, quite a bit of egg shells in the omelet and hard/unripe avocado made me feel like we overpaid for this item.

Eggs were over cooked. No seasoning on the hash browns. Toast was more relatable to a soggy noodle.

My husband loved the sausage and eggs with hash browns. The largest & most flavorful sausage paddy he has ever been serviced. I much enjoyed an excellent patty melt, onions grilled to perfection & good size hamburger patty to cover the bread & dill pickles a crunchy addition. We plan to return for breakfast tomorrow! We noticed a chocolate milkshake being served...I think I'll add to my lunch, it was huge and covered with whip cream🌞

I believe this is the only place open @ 7am. Our river trip started @ 8:15 so this is w we could go. (mcd was 50+ miles in another town) glad we went. Good bre fare. Home town Cafe feal, good food. I had chicken fried steak with browns eggs and a side bis with gravy. All very good ex the gravy was just ok. I actually have come to expect this. Really good gravy (white, brown or sausage) is a bit of a lost art it seems. Most taste like uncooked flour. It wasn't horrible, just ok.

The ladies that work at DD’s are awesome they have great sense of humor they’re very polite food is outstanding pricing is perfect for the size of the portions you get thanks DD’s you’re the best

don't let this small quaint restaurant fool you - it has the best breakfast food ever! We had a wonderful server, who managed all the tables that morning. She was so efficient plus so friendly. It had a small town feel, as we found ourselves talking with the person at the table next to us (who turned out to be the server's husband!) We really enjoyed our breakfast and the new friendly people we were able to meet. Thank you!

Drove to Gold Beach for breakfast. Found a little interesting place called Double D's Cafe.It's a little hole in the wall place that has Christmas balls hanging from the ceiling, and stuffed deer heads on the wall.My breakfast was good, my friends breakfast came out at different times. Her egg was cold, and we had to ask the waitress a second time for her cinnamon roll.It seemed like the wait staff was a little off in knowing when and where they needed to be.Prices were okay, but don't dine here if you are looking for a view of the water, all you will see is a small parking lot and the road.On the upside, the people here were really nice.

The people are friendly and professional. The food is prepared perfectly. I especially like the attention they give to the basic things like cooking eggs. Double D always serves my food exactly how I like it. Kudos to Double D for keeping the prices low and the service high.

Great local eatery! The owners are in there working, in fact i think the whole family is in there working every day! Super friendly staff and delicious food. Went twice on our visit to gold beach and food was great each time! And its a fantastic spot to eat on a budget!

I was really excited to go to this quirky little cafe, sadly I was hugely dissapointed :/ You know when you're super hungry, but don't know what toget? I was that hungry. I ordered a tuna sandwich and I'm not sure how to discribe it, other than wet. It was mostly a liquidy, mayonnaise & tuna spread. The fries had ok flavor but were limp and oily. It wasn't just the food though- it just had a really negative vibe. We went across the street to eat elsewhere, It's so disappointing to see a place not even try. I'd probably give it 1 star but I just can't... I know the photo is blurry, but I'm holding a fry and that is it... flopped over. Every single fry was like this.

Nasty! If I could give less I would!! The fried potatoes were burnt and tasted like they were microwaved from the night before.
